The Chicago Blackhawks (12-4-3) (27 points) will take their National Hockey League leading record into Friday night’s game in Calgary when they face off with the Calgary Flames (7-9-1).  The Blackhawks easily beat the Flames one week ago Friday at United Center 4-1 in a game that very easily could have been 8-1.  Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook, Viktor Stalberg, and Patrick Kane tallied for the Hawks, while the Flames got a goal from Olli Jokinen.  The Hawks will look to improve on their 5-3-1 road record in game 2 of the six game road trip dubbed the “Circus Trip.”  Chicago comes in winners of two in a row on the road and four in a row overall.  The Flames come in just 3-5-1 on home ice.  The Hawks lost both meetings with the Flames in Calgary last season.  Jonathan Toews comes in leading the Hawks with 10 goals while Marian Hossa and Patrick Kane share the team lead for points with 21 apiece.  For the Flames, Alex Tanguay leads the way with 12 points while three different players share the team lead in goals with 5 including Jarome Iginla.

In a quick injury update, Brent Seabrook was declared out for Friday night’s game with a lower body injury suffered against the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday night.  He is day to day.  Michael Frolik who crashed hard into the end boards against Vancouver and left the game is listed as questionable.  Ben Smith was recalled from Rockford of the American Hockey League and thrown in from the Brian Campbell trade Rostislav Olesz was sent down to Rockford after clearing waivers.  Look for Bryan Bickell to be the potential odd man out at forward if Frolik is healthy after being once again demoted to the fourth line on Wednesday night in Vancouver.
