Hawks at Lighting Preview

The Chicago Blackhawks (8-2-2) face off with the Tampa Bay Lightning (5-5-2) in Tampa after a shootout win against the Florida Panthers last night.  It will mark the only meeting of the season between the two.  The Hawks come in 3-2-0 on the road and look to continue the road momentum with the annual circus trip looming.  Tampa Bay comes in 3-1-0 at home and winners of three in a row on home ice.  The Lightning beat Chicago twice last season.  For Chicago penalty killing success has been the staple of their early season while the power play has been dreadful.  Tampa comes in with the league’s 18th ranked power play unit.  The Hawks will counter with the league’s 3rd ranked penalty killing unit.  Defenseman Marc-Andre Bergeron leads the Lightning in scoring with 13 points.  Sniper Steven Stamkos leads the Lightning in goals with 6.  For Chicago Patrick Kane leads the way with 12 points and Marian Hossa with 6 goals.  Backup goalie Ray Emery will get the start in goal for Chicago.  Emery is 2-0-0 on the season with a 2.50 GAA and .915 save percentage.  Duncan Keith will miss his 2nd straight game with a hand injury for the Hawks.
