Hawks @ Kings, Circus Trip Finale Preview

The Chicago Blackhawks (13-7-3) will be across town at Staples Center to take on the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night following a 6-5 Friday afternoon win over the cross town Anaheim Ducks.  The Hawks will be looking to finish .500 on the Circus Trip following a disappointing 1-3-0 start.  Jonathan Toews and Patrick Sharp are coming off monster games against the Ducks with Toews setting a career high for points in a game with 5 (2G, 3A), and Patrick Sharp notching his 2nd career hat trick.  The Kings come in 6-5-1 on home ice and the Hawks 6-6-1 on the road.  The Hawks won all four games against the Kings last season including 4-3, and 2-1 victories at Staples Center.  Anze Kopitar leads the Kings with 24 points and is tied with off season acquisition Mike Richards for the team lead in goals with 10.  Jonathan Toews fresh off his 2 goal, 5 point night leads the Hawks in points with 24 and goals with 12.  Saturday’s game will mark the sixth and final game of the Circus Trip and the Hawks will return home for a two game home stand following the game.  The Hawks 29 points have them tied for the Western Conference lead with Minnesota and are tied for 2nd in the NHL.
